About ​LaSonya Moore

A Charlotte native and graduate from the illustrious West Charlotte High School. She has been a licensed cosmetologist since 1991. She soon after joined the United States Coast Guard and served active duty for 4 years. In 1995 she started a family and relocated to Jacksonville, and remained there until she received her degree as a licensed practical nurse in 2007. She later returned to Charlotte where she has significant ties to her community, becoming a member of the Order of the Eastern Stars, where she was able to assist the unfortunate in many ways. 

In 2021 her life was changed significantly when she lost her daughter to senseless gun violence. She turned her pain into purpose and started her organization Changing Your Narrative. Understanding that life circumstances can make or break you, she stands on the side of MAKING YOU!! She intends to use her experiences from life and her testimony to not only sympathize but empathize with others to help CHANGE THEIR NARRATIVE! -Without a vision, there’s no destination
